Additional Information:
NovoRapid FlexPen is a fast-acting insulin analog that mimics the body’s natural insulin response. It helps regulate blood sugar levels after meals, reducing the risk of hyperglycemia. Clinical trials have shown that NovoRapid is well-tolerated and effective in managing diabetes, offering patients flexibility and convenience in insulin administration.
Pharmacologically, NovoRapid FlexPen works by stimulating glucose uptake in muscle and adipose tissue, inhibiting hepatic glucose production, and suppressing lipolysis and proteolysis. This helps to lower blood sugar levels rapidly after injection, making it a valuable tool in diabetes management.
Compared to traditional insulins, NovoRapid FlexPen offers a more predictable and rapid onset of action, allowing for better postprandial glucose control. Its convenient pen device simplifies dosing and administration, improving patient adherence and overall glycemic control.
