Priora (Docosanol) Cream 100 mg/1g – 2 g Tube
Ingredients
- Active ingredient: Docosanol 100 mg/g
- Other ingredients: Benzyl alcohol, light mineral oil, propylene glycol, purified water, stearyl alcohol, and white petrolatum
Dosage
Apply: A thin layer of Priora cream to the affected area 5 times a day, at approximately 3-hour intervals.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
Indications
Priora cream is indicated for the treatment of recurrent oral-facial herpes simplex outbreaks (cold sores) in immunocompetent adults and adolescents (12 years and older).
Contraindications
Do not use Priora cream if you are allergic to docosanol or any other ingredients in the product.
Directions
- Wash your hands before and after applying Priora cream.
- Apply the cream only to the affected area and avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Pharmacological Effects: Docosanol inhibits the fusion between the plasma membrane and the herpes simplex virus envelope, preventing viral entry into healthy cells.
