Scientific Evidence

Xylometazoline hydrochloride acts as a decongestant by constricting blood vessels in the nasal passages, thereby reducing swelling and congestion. Studies have indicated the efficacy of xylometazoline in promptly alleviating nasal congestion arising from various causes.

Research in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology showcased the effectiveness of xylometazoline in enhancing nasal airflow and diminishing nasal symptoms in allergic rhinitis patients compared to a placebo.

Additional Information

Adhering to the recommended dosage and frequency is crucial to prevent rebound congestion. Prolonged use of nasal decongestants like xylometazoline may result in tolerance development and symptom exacerbation.

Prior consultation with a healthcare professional is advisable before using Snup nasal spray, especially if you have underlying medical conditions or are on other medications to mitigate potential drug interactions.
