Zeldox (ziprasidone) Capsules 80 mg. №28
Ingredients
Active ingredient: Ziprasidone hydrochloride.
Other ingredients: lactose monohydrate, pregelatinized maize starch, magnesium stearate, sodium lauryl sulfate, gelatin, titanium dioxide, and patent blue V.
Dosage
Recommended dosage: The usual starting dose is 40 mg twice daily. Dosage may be increased to 80 mg twice daily after one week based on individual patient response.
Indications
Zeldox capsules are indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia. It is also used as monotherapy for acute treatment of manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder.
Contraindications
- Do not use Zeldox if:
- You have a known hypersensitivity to ziprasidone or any other component of the product.
- You have a history of QT prolongation, recent acute myocardial infarction, or uncompensated heart failure.
Directions
Take Zeldox capsules orally with food. Swallow the capsules whole. Do not chew the capsules.

Studies have shown that ziprasidone is effective in treating schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Research published in the Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology demonstrated the efficacy of ziprasidone in reducing symptoms of acute mania in bipolar disorder patients.
