Composition
Active Ingredient: Moxifloxacin
Other Ingredients: Sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, and water for injections.
Mechanism of Action
Moxifloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, exerts its bactericidal action by inhibiting DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, essential for bacterial DNA replication and repair.

Indications for Use

Do not use Avelox if: You have a history of hypersensitivity to moxifloxacin or other quinolones. Avoid use if there is a history of tendon disorders related to fluoroquinolone use.
