Alendon-70 (alendronate sodium) tablets 70 mg. №10
Ingredients:
Each tablet contains 70 mg of alendronate sodium.
Dosage:
The recommended dosage is one 70 mg tablet once weekly.

Scientific Evidence:
Studies have shown that alendronate sodium, the active ingredient in Alendon-70, effectively increases bone mineral density and reduces the risk of fractures in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. Research published in the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research demonstrated a significant decrease in vertebral and nonvertebral fractures in patients treated with alendronate.
Additional Information:
It is important to follow the dosing instructions carefully to ensure optimal absorption and effectiveness of Alendon-70. Regular monitoring of bone density may be recommended by your healthcare provider to assess the response to treatment. Consult your doctor if you experience any persistent or severe side effects while taking this medication.
Pharmacological Effects:
Alendronate sodium works by inhibiting bone resorption, leading to an increase in bone mineral density and a decrease in the risk of fractures. It specifically targets osteoclasts, the cells responsible for breaking down bone tissue. By slowing down this process, Alendon-70 helps strengthen bones and reduce the likelihood of fractures.
Clinical Trials:
In a randomized controlled trial involving postmenopausal women with osteoporosis, Alendon-70 demonstrated a significant reduction in the incidence of vertebral fractures compared to placebo. The study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, highlighted the efficacy of alendronate sodium in improving bone health and reducing fracture risk.
