A herbal preparation that contains a dry extract of the altea root, the main biologically active substances of which are polysaccharides, as well as pectins, amino acids and starch. The polysaccharides of the drug are absorbed into the blood, partially secreted by the bronchial glands and have an enveloping, softening and anti-inflammatory effect on the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract, slightly increasing the secretion of the liquid component of the bronchial secretion and normalizing its rheological properties (viscosity, elasticity, adhesiveness). Strengthens the peristaltic movements of the bronchioles and the motor function of the ciliated epithelium of the bronchi, contributing to the removal of sputum. The vegetable polysaccharide mucus of the drug, enveloping the mucous membrane of the stomach, exhibits cytoprotective and anti-inflammatory effects.
