Description

Amaryl M 2 mg/500 mg tablets is a medicine for the treatment of diabetes. It is intended to reduce the concentration of sugar in the blood, that is, it belongs to hypoglycemic drugs. Amaryl M tablets are a combined agent with glimepiride and metformin.

Glimepiride affects the pancreas, normalizes the production of insulin and its delivery to the blood. Glimepiride helps calcium from the blood enter the tissue cells, inhibits the formation of atherosclerotic plaques on the vascular walls. Metformin lowers blood sugar by improving blood circulation in the liver and stimulating the transformation of glucose into glycogen.

Ingredients
active substances: glimepiride and metformin;
1 tablet contains glimepiride micronized 2.0 mg and metformin hydrochloride 500.0 mg;
excipients: lactose, monohydrate; sodium amylopectin glycolate; povidone K-30; microcrystalline cellulose; crospovidone; magnesium stearate;
shell: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose; polyethylene glycol 6000; titanium dioxide (E 171); carnauba wax.

Contraindications Amaryl M

Amaryl M, like Amaryl, is contraindicated in insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, such diabetic complications as diabetic coma, ketoacidosis, liver and kidney pathologies, lactation and pregnancy, and intolerance to the components of the drug.
