Description

Ingredients

active ingredient: ambroxol hydrochloride;

1 ml of solution contains ambroxol hydrochloride 7.5 mg;

excipients: potassium sorbate (E 202), dilute hydrochloric acid (25%), purified water.

Pharmacotherapeutic group

Drugs used for coughs and colds. Mucolytic agents. ATX code R05C B06.

Pharmacodynamics

Ambroxol has a bronchosecretolytic and secretomotor (expectorant) effect. The drug Ambroxol-Teva normalizes violations of bronchopulmonary secretion, improves the rheological parameters of sputum, reduces its viscosity and facilitates the discharge of sputum from the bronchi. The action begins in 30 minutes and lasts for 6-12 hours. Increases production of pulmonary surfactant and increases mucociliary clearance.

The local anesthetic effect of ambroxol hydrochloride, which may be due to the ability to block sodium channels, was observed in a rabbit eye model. In vitro studies have shown that ambroxol hydrochloride blocks neuronal sodium channels; binding was reversible and concentration dependent.

Ambroxol hydrochloride has been shown to be anti-inflammatory in vitro. In vitro studies have found that ambroxol hydrochloride significantly reduces the release of cytokines from the blood and tissue binding of mononuclear and polymorphonuclear cells.

As a result of clinical trials involving patients with pharyngitis, a significant reduction in pain and redness in the throat with the use of the drug has been proven.

These pharmacological properties, leading to a rapid relief of pain and associated discomfort in the nasal cavity, in the ear and trachea during inspiration, are consistent with the data of auxiliary observation of symptoms during clinical studies of the effectiveness of ambroxol in the treatment of the upper respiratory tract.

After the use of ambroxol hydrochloride, the concentration of antibiotics (amoxicillin, cefuroxime, erythromycin) in bronchopulmonary secretion and sputum increases.

Indications

Secretolytic therapy in acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases associated with impaired bronchial secretion and weakening of mucus movement.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to ambroxol hydrochloride or other components of the drug.
