Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics. Ascoril Expectorant is a combined drug with bronchodilator, mucolytic and expectorant properties. Thanks to the rational combination of salbutamol, bromhexine hydrochloride, guaifenesin and menthol, it effectively and quickly alleviates the dysfunction of the bronchopulmonary system.

Salbutamol – a selective stimulator of b2-adrenoceptors – effectively and for a long time expands the bronchi. In therapeutic doses, it does not cause stimulation of cardiac activity. Bromhexine hydrochloride reduces the viscosity of sputum and promotes its evacuation from the bronchi. Guaifenesin relaxes and clears the bronchi of mucus, promotes expectoration. Menthol relieves the symptoms of irritation and inflammation in the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract.
