Additional Information
Storage: Store at controlled room temperature between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F). Protect from light.
Pharmacological Effects: Atropine sulfate acts as a competitive antagonist of acetylcholine at muscarinic receptors, leading to increased heart rate, bronchodilation, and decreased secretions. This mechanism of action makes it valuable in various clinical settings.
Clinical Trials: Clinical trials have demonstrated the efficacy of atropine sulfate in the management of bradycardia and organophosphate poisoning. Research published in the Journal of Emergency Medicine highlighted the role of atropine in improving outcomes in these conditions.
