Azopt (brinzolamide) Eye Drops 1% 5 ml

Ingredients

Active ingredient: Brinzolamide 1%, Preservative: Benzalkonium chloride.

Dosage

Recommended dosage: 1 drop in the affected eye(s) three times daily.

Indications

Azopt Eye Drops are indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

Contraindications

Do not use Azopt Eye Drops if you are allergic to brinzolamide or any other ingredients in the product.

Directions

Administer one drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) three times daily.

Scientific Evidence

Brinzolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that reduces intraocular pressure by decreasing aqueous humor production. Studies have shown that brinzolamide eye drops effectively lower intraocular pressure in patients with glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

Additional Information

It is important to avoid touching the dropper tip to prevent contamination of the solution. If using other eye drops, wait at least 10 minutes between administrations to prevent dilution of the medication.

Storage: Store Azopt Eye Drops at room temperature away from light and moisture. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
