This substance in the body causes blood vessels to constrict. By blocking this action, olmesartan medoxomil helps relax and widen the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure.
Scientific Evidence:
Clinical trials have demonstrated the efficacy of olmesartan medoxomil in reducing blood pressure and managing hypertension. A study published in the American Journal of Hypertension showed that olmesartan medoxomil was effective in lowering both systolic and diastolic blood pressure compared to a placebo.
