Ingredients

The active ingredient in Carvidex is carvedilol. Each tablet contains 12.5 mg of carvedilol.

Dosage

The dosage of Carvidex may vary depending on the patient’s condition and their response to the medication. However, the usual starting dose is 12.5 mg once daily for the first two days, then increased to 25 mg once daily.

Indications

Carvidex is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure and heart failure. It is also used to treat left ventricular dysfunction following myocardial infarction.

Contraindications

Carvidex is contraindicated in patients with severe liver disease, asthma, and certain types of heart rhythm problems. It should not be used in patients who are allergic to carvedilol or any of the ingredients in Carvidex.
