Carvidex (carvedilol) coated tablets 25 mg. №20

Ingredients

The active ingredient in Carvidex is carvedilol. Each coated tablet contains 25 mg of carvedilol.

Dosage

The usual starting dose is 6.25 mg twice daily. Depending on the patient’s response, the dosage may be increased.

Indications

Carvidex is indicated for the treatment of:

• High blood pressure (hypertension)
• Heart failure
• Left ventricular dysfunction following heart attack

Contraindications

Carvidex is contraindicated in patients with:

• Asthma or related breathing conditions
• Severe liver disease
• Heart block or sick sinus syndrome (unless you have a pacemaker)
• Certain types of circulation problems

Directions

Carvidex should be taken with food. Swallow the tablet whole, do not crush or chew. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to catch up.
