Carvium (carvedilol) tablets 12.5 mg. №30

Ingredients

The active ingredient in Carvium tablets is carvedilol. Each tablet contains 12.5 mg of carvedilol.

Dosage

The usual starting dose is 12.5 mg once daily. Depending on the patient’s response and tolerance, the dosage may be adjusted by the healthcare provider.

Indications

Carvium is indicated for:

• Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension)
• Management of heart failure
• Prevention of heart attack (myocardial infarction)

Contraindications

Carvium is contraindicated in patients with:

• Known hypersensitivity to carvedilol or any of the tablet ingredients
• Severe liver disease
• Certain types of heart rhythm problems

Directions

Carvium should be taken with food to slow the rate of absorption and reduce the incidence of side effects. Swallow the tablet whole, do not crush or chew.
