Ingredients

The active ingredient in Carvium is carvedilol. Each tablet contains 25 mg of carvedilol.

Dosage

The dosage of Carvium varies depending on the patient’s condition. However, the usual starting dose is 12.5 mg once daily. The dose may be increased to 25 mg once daily after 2 weeks of therapy.

Indications

Carvium is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure and heart failure. It is also used to treat or prevent heart attacks.

Contraindications

Carvium is contraindicated in patients with severe heart failure, asthma, or certain heart rhythm problems.

Directions

Carvium should be taken with food. The tablets should not be crushed or chewed, but swallowed whole with a glass of water.
