Ingredients

The active ingredient in Carvium is carvedilol 6.25 mg. It also contains several inactive ingredients to form the tablet.

Dosage

The usual starting dose is one 6.25 mg tablet twice daily. Dosage may be adjusted by your healthcare provider based on your condition and response to treatment.

Indications

Carvium is indicated for the treatment of:

• High blood pressure (hypertension)
• Heart failure
• Left ventricular dysfunction following heart attack

Contraindications

Carvium is contraindicated in patients with:

• Severe liver disease
• Asthma or other serious breathing problems
• Certain types of heart rhythm problems

Directions

Carvium should be taken with food to slow down the absorption and reduce the risk of side effects. Do not stop taking Carvium without consulting your healthcare provider, even if you feel well.
