Ingredients

The active ingredient in Casodex is bicalutamide. Each coated tablet contains 150 mg of bicalutamide.

Dosage

The recommended dosage of Casodex is one tablet (150 mg) per day. The tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water.

Indications

Casodex is used for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer. It is used in combination with a luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) analog.

Contraindications

Casodex is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bicalutamide or any of the tablet’s ingredients. It is also contraindicated in women, including those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and in men who are taking terfenadine, astemizole or cisapride.

Directions

Take Casodex exactly as your healthcare provider tells you to. Do not change your dose or stop taking Casodex without talking to your healthcare provider. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to your next dose, skip the missed dose. Just take the next dose at your regular time.
