Ingredients

The main active ingredient in Cedoxim is cefpodoxime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. Each tablet contains 200 mg of cefpodoxime.

Dosage

The usual adult dosage of Cedoxim is one 200 mg tablet twice daily. Dosage may vary depending on the severity and type of infection.

Indications

Cedoxim is indicated for the treatment of a variety of bacterial infections, including:

• Respiratory tract infections
• Skin and skin structure infections
• Urinary tract infections

Contraindications

Cedoxim is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cefpodoxime or other cephalosporins. It should also not be used in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other types of antibiotics.

Directions

Cedoxim tablets should be taken with food to enhance absorption. Do not crush or chew the tablet; swallow it whole with a glass of water.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
