Ingredients

The main active ingredient in Cedoxim is cefpodoxime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. Each 5 ml of the oral suspension contains 40 mg of cefpodoxime.

Dosage

The dosage of Cedoxim depends on the severity and type of infection. However, the general recommended dose for adults is 200 mg to 400 mg per day, divided into two doses.

Indications

Cedoxim is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including:

• Respiratory tract infections
• Skin and skin structure infections
• Urinary tract infections

Contraindications

Cedoxim is contraindicated in patients with a known allergy to cefpodoxime or other cephalosporin antibiotics. Do not use if you have a history of severe allergic reactions to antibiotics.

Directions

Shake the vial well before each use. Measure the dose with the provided measuring device. The suspension can be taken with or without food. Complete the full course of the medication, even if symptoms disappear after a few days.
