Product Overview

Cefazolin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. This product comes in a powder form that is reconstituted into a solution for injection.

Ingredients

Active Ingredient: Cefazolin 1g per vial.

Dosage

Adults: The usual dosage is 1 to 1.5 grams every 6 to 8 hours. Dosage may be increased in severe infections.

Children: The usual dosage is 25 to 50 mg/kg every 6 to 8 hours.

Contraindications

Cefazolin is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to the cephalosporin class of antibiotics.

Directions

Reconstitute the powder with sterile water for injection. Administer as directed by your healthcare provider. Do not self-medicate.
