Ingredients

The main active ingredient in this product is cefazolin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the cephalosporin group.

Dosage

The dosage of Cefazolin varies depending on the severity of the infection. However, the general recommended dosage is 1g injected intravenously or intramuscularly every 6 to 8 hours.

Indications

Cefazolin is indicated for the treatment of the following infections caused by susceptible bacteria:

• Respiratory tract infections
• Urinary tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Bone and joint infections

Contraindications

Cefazolin is contraindicated in patients with a known allergy to cephalosporin antibiotics. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe kidney disease.

Directions

Reconstitute the powder with sterile water for injection. After reconstitution, the solution should be used immediately. Do not use if the solution is cloudy or contains particles. The injection should be administered by a healthcare professional.
