Cefma (cefpodoxime) Coated Tablets 200 mg. №10

Ingredients

The active ingredient in Cefma is cefpodoxime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. Each tablet contains 200 mg of cefpodoxime.

Dosage

The usual adult dosage is one 200 mg tablet every 12 hours. Dosage may be adjusted based on the severity of the infection and the patient’s response to treatment.

Indications

Cefma is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including:

• Respiratory tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Urinary tract infections

Contraindications

Cefma is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cefpodoxime or other cephalosporin antibiotics. It should also not be used in patients with severe renal impairment without dose adjustment.

Directions

Cefma tablets should be taken with food to enhance absorption. Do not crush or chew the tablets. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
