Description

Ceiver (Dexketoprofen) Coated Tablets 25 mg. №50

Composition

The active ingredient in Ceiver is Dexketoprofen. Each coated tablet contains 25 mg of Dexketoprofen.

Mechanism of Action

Dexketoprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that exerts its pharmacological effects by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), thereby reducing the production of prostaglandins involved in inflammation, pain, and fever.

Pharmacological Properties

Dexketoprofen demonstrates analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic properties. It is rapidly absorbed after oral administration, reaching peak plasma concentrations within 1-2 hours. The drug is highly protein-bound and undergoes hepatic metabolism followed by renal excretion.

Indications for Use

Ceiver is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, dental pain, and postoperative pain.

Contraindications

  • Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Dexketoprofen or any other components of the product.
  • Patients with active peptic ulcer or a history of recurrent peptic ulcer.
  • Patients with severe heart, liver, or kidney failure.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Ceiver may include gastrointestinal disturbances, headache, dizziness, and skin reactions. Serious adverse effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, renal impairment, and hypersensitivity reactions are rare but possible.

Usage Instructions

Ceiver should be taken orally with a glass of water, preferably during meals. The recommended dosage is one tablet (25 mg) every 8 hours. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 75 mg. Consult your healthcare provider before adjusting the dosage.

Benefits Compared to Analogues

Ceiver offers the advantage of potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects with a lower risk of gastrointestinal side effects compared to some other NSAIDs.

Suitable Patient Groups

Ceiver is suitable for use in adults, including the elderly population, for the management of mild to moderate pain conditions. The safety and efficacy of Ceiver in children have not been established.
