Ingredients

The active substance in Ceppra is levetiracetam. Each tablet contains 1000 mg of levetiracetam.

Dosage

The dosage of Ceppra should be determined by a healthcare professional. The usual dose is 1000 mg twice daily.

Indications

Ceppra is indicated as monotherapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures with or without secondary generalization in adults and adolescents from 16 years of age with newly diagnosed epilepsy.

Contraindications

• Patients with hypersensitivity to levetiracetam or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• Patients with severe renal impairment.
• Patients with a history of psychotic disorders.

Directions

Ceppra tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. They can be taken with or without food. The tablets should not be chewed or crushed.
