Ingredients

The main active ingredient in Ceppra is levetiracetam, a medicine used to treat epilepsy. Each tablet contains 500 mg of levetiracetam.

Dosage

The dosage of Ceppra varies depending on the patient’s condition. However, the standard adult dose is 1000 mg to 3000 mg per day, divided into two doses.

Indications

Ceppra is indicated for the treatment of partial onset seizures in adults and children 1 month of age and older, and myoclonic seizures in adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older.

Contraindications

Do not take Ceppra if you have a known allergy to levetiracetam or any of the other ingredients in the tablets. It is also not recommended for patients with severe kidney disease.

Directions

Take Ceppra exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water, and can be taken with or without food. Do not stop taking Ceppra without consulting your doctor, as this could increase your risk of having seizures.
