Cipramil (Citalopram) Coated Tablets 20 mg. №28

Ingredients:

Each coated tablet contains 20 mg of citalopram (as hydrobromide).

Dosage:

The usual starting dose is 20 mg per day. Dosage may be increased to a maximum of 40 mg per day based on individual response.

Indications:

Cipramil tablets are indicated for the treatment of depression and prevention of recurrence of major depressive episodes.

Contraindications:

Do not use Cipramil if you are allergic to citalopram or any of the ingredients in the formulation. It is contraindicated in patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).

Directions:

Take Cipramil tablets orally with or without food. Follow the dosage instructions provided by your healthcare provider.

Pharmacological Effects:

Citalopram inhibits the reuptake of serotonin in the brain, which leads to increased levels of this neurotransmitter. By enhancing serotonin transmission, citalopram helps regulate mood and emotions. This mechanism of action is believed to underlie its antidepressant effects.
