Ingredients
Active ingredient: Clarithromycin 500 mg.
Inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, povidone, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, talc, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol.
Dosage
Recommended dosage: The usual dose is 500 mg twice a day, taken with food. Consult your healthcare provider for specific dosing instructions.
Indications
Clabel (clarithromycin) coated tablets are indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms, including respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and Helicobacter pylori eradication to reduce the risk of duodenal ulcer recurrence.
Contraindications
Do not use Clabel (clarithromycin) if:
- You are allergic to clarithromycin or any other macrolide antibiotics.
- You are taking colchicine in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.
- You are taking certain medications like ergotamine or dihydroergotamine.
Directions
Take Clabel (clarithromycin) tablets exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablet. It is important to complete the full course of treatment even if you start to feel better.
