Description
Corinfar (Nifedipine) Retard Tablets with Prolonged Release 20 mg. №30 Blister
Composition
Active ingredient: Nifedipine 20 mg.
Other ingredients: lactose monohydrate, cellulose microcrystalline, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate.
Mechanism of Action
Nifedipine, the active ingredient in Corinfar retard tablets, is a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing and widening blood vessels. This action helps to lower blood pressure and improve blood flow to the heart, reducing the workload on the heart muscle.
Pharmacological Properties
The pharmacological properties of nifedipine include its ability to selectively inhibit calcium ion influx across cell membranes in cardiac and smooth muscle. This leads to vasodilation and decreased peripheral vascular resistance, resulting in reduced blood pressure and increased oxygen delivery to the heart.
