Scientific Evidence

Ketoconazole, the active ingredient in Dermazol cream, is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent that works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes. Studies have shown ketoconazole to be effective in treating various fungal infections, including those of the skin.

Additional Information

For best results, continue to use Dermazol cream for the full prescribed treatment period, even if symptoms improve before completion. Consult a healthcare provider if the condition does not improve after 4 weeks of treatment.

Ketoconazole, the active ingredient in Dermazol cream, exerts its antifungal effects by disrupting the fungal cell membrane, leading to cell death. This mechanism of action makes it effective against a wide range of fungal species, providing relief from various skin infections.

Clinical trials have demonstrated the efficacy of ketoconazole in the treatment of fungal skin infections, with Dermazol cream showing comparable effectiveness to other antifungal agents. Its topical application minimizes systemic side effects, making it a preferred choice for localized fungal infections.
