Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics.

Restores the volume of circulating blood. Reduces hyperkalemia and its consequences in the treatment of water-salt disorders, improves capillary circulation and renal function. Reveals a detoxification effect due to a short-term increase in the volume of fluid, a decrease in the concentration of toxic products in the blood, activation of diuresis.

Pharmacokinetics.

The drug is not long in the vascular bed, quickly passes into the interstitial space and is metabolized in the liver. It is excreted by the kidneys, increasing diuresis.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications
Correction of hyperkalemia and its consequences in case of dehydration and intoxication of the body, which occur with various infectious diseases (acute dysentery, food poisoning, El Tor cholera).

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Threat of development of cerebral and pulmonary edema, overhydration.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.

Not installed.

Application features
Warm up the solution to + 36-38 ° C before use. Administer with caution in patients with impaired renal excretory function, with decompensated heart defects, with edematous ascitic syndrome in patients with liver cirrhosis.

Application during pregnancy or lactation.

There is no experience with the drug during pregnancy or lactation.

The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or other mechanisms.

There are no data on the effect of the drug on the reaction rate when driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms, since the drug should be used exclusively in a hospital setting.

Method of administration and dosage
Introduce intravenously drip. Warm up the solution to + 36-38 ° C before use. The total amount of solution injected should correspond to the volume of fluid lost. Determine the balance of the injected and lost fluid every 6 hours! After elimination of hyperkalemia, further water-salt therapy should be carried out with Trisol, Acesol.

Children.

There are no data regarding restrictions on the use of the drug for children. The dosage regimen should be adjusted depending on laboratory parameters. The total daily dose depends on the water and electrolyte balance and laboratory parameters.

Overdose
Hypokalemia, hypernatremia. Due to overhydration and hypervolemia, heart failure can develop.
