Scientific Evidence
Xylometazoline hydrochloride, the active ingredient in Dlianos drops, is a sympathomimetic compound that constricts blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and congestion. Studies have shown its efficacy in providing rapid relief from nasal congestion with minimal systemic absorption, making it a preferred choice for nasal decongestion.
Additional Information
It is important to use Dlianos drops as directed and not exceed the recommended dosage to avoid rebound congestion. If symptoms persist for more than 3 days, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. Keep out of reach of children.
Pharmacological studies have demonstrated that xylometazoline acts by stimulating alpha-adrenergic receptors in the nasal mucosa, leading to vasoconstriction and reduced nasal blood flow. This action results in decreased nasal congestion and improved airflow, providing relief for individuals suffering from nasal congestion.
Clinical trials comparing xylometazoline with other nasal decongestants have shown its rapid onset of action and long-lasting relief, making it a popular choice for the management of nasal congestion. Its safety profile and effectiveness make it a widely used over-the-counter medication for nasal congestion associated with various conditions.
