The use of the drug Ferrum Lek does not affect the test results for detecting occult blood (sensitive to hemoglobin), so there is no need to stop treatment with Ferrum Lek.

FEATURES OF APPLICATION

Caution should be exercised in relation to patients receiving repeated blood transfusions, since erythrocytes already have an iron reserve, and taking the drug Ferrum Lek can lead to iron oversaturation.

1 tablet contains 1.5 mg of aspartame (the precursor of phenylalanine), which should be taken into account when prescribing Ferrum Lek to patients with phenylketonuria.

Iron preparations should be used with caution in patients with such diseases: leukemia, chronic liver and kidney diseases, inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, bowel disease (enteritis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease).
