Fitodent Composition
active ingredients: 100 ml of the preparation contain tinctures from a mixture of medicinal plants “Fitodent®” (1:10) (extractant – ethanol 40%): Calamus rhizomes (calami rhizomata) – 2 g; Marigold flowers (calendulae officinalis flores) – 1.5 g; Nettle leaves (urticae dioicae folia) – 1 g; Chamomile flowers (chamomillae recutitae flores) – 1 g; Sophora Japanese fruit (sophorae japonicae fructus) – 2 g; Celandine herb (chelidonii herba) – 1.5 g; Rosehip fruit (rosae fructus) – 1 g;
auxiliary substances: absent, except for the extractant.
Fitodent Dosage form
Tincture.
Basic physical and chemical properties: transparent liquid of red-brown color, with a fragrant odor. Sediment is allowed.

Pharmacological properties
Fitodent® has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, disinfectant and fungicidal effects, is well absorbed by the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and periodontium.
In addition, the tannins and flavonoids contained in the preparation have wound healing, hemostatic and restorative properties. Due to the presence of physiologically active substances in the composition of the drug, which are part of chamomile, sophora and celandine, the drug has a pain-relieving effect.
Indications
Local treatment of inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa: catarrhal stomatitis; chronic recurrent stomatitis aphthous; localized periodontitis (chronic or aggravated course) I degree; gingivitis is catarrhal.
In the form of rinses for infectious and inflammatory processes of the mucous membrane of the pharynx and larynx.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug.
Children under 12 years of age.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction
The drug enhances the effect of anti-inflammatory and analgesic agents.
Application features
Fitodent® must be applied after removing food debris and dental deposits. Use the drug only diluted. Shake well before use.
Application during pregnancy or lactation
The drug is used during pregnancy and lactation.

Method of administration and dosage
Dilute the drug with water in various ratios (1 part of the drug for 1 or 2 parts of water or 1 teaspoon of the drug for ¼ glass of water, depending on individual sensitivity) and use for rinsing, rinsing and irrigation (3-5 times a day for 5 minutes ); as well as for mouth trays (3-5 times a day for 2-3 minutes).
Treatment of periodontal diseases is carried out by introducing into the gum pockets and interdental space turunda, abundantly moistened with diluted (1 part of the drug for 1 part of water) solution of Fitodent® (1-2 times a day for 15-20 minutes); carrying out applications with diluted (1 part of the drug for 1 part of water) solution of Fitodent® (2-3 times a day for 15-20 minutes).
The course of treatment is determined by the doctor depending on the nature of the disease; usually the duration of treatment is 12-14 days.
Children
The drug should not be used in children under 12 years of age.
Overdose
When using an undiluted drug, a burning sensation may occur.
