Scientific Evidence

Glycerin, the active ingredient in Glicerin Liquid Suppositories, works by attracting water into the intestine, softening the stool and promoting bowel movements. Studies have shown that glycerin suppositories are effective in providing relief from constipation in children by stimulating bowel evacuation without causing irritation or systemic side effects (Source: Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition Journal).

Additional Information

It is important to ensure an adequate intake of fluids while using Glicerin Liquid Suppositories to prevent dehydration. If constipation persists after using the product, consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation.

Pharmacological Effects: Glicerin Liquid Suppositories act locally in the rectum, exerting an osmotic effect that softens the stool and facilitates bowel movements. This mechanism of action makes them a safe and effective option for relieving constipation in children.

Clinical Trials: Clinical trials have demonstrated the efficacy of glycerin suppositories in pediatric constipation management. A randomized controlled trial published in the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition showed that glycerin suppositories were well-tolerated and significantly improved stool frequency and consistency in constipated children compared to a placebo group.
