Ketanov (ketorolac tropetamine) solution for injections ampoules 30 mg. 1ml. №10

Ingredients

The main active ingredient in Ketanov is ketorolac trometamine. Each ampoule contains 30 mg of ketorolac trometamine in 1 ml of solution.

Dosage

The recommended dose of Ketanov varies depending on the patient’s condition. However, it should not exceed 60 mg per day for intramuscular administration and 120 mg per day for intravenous administration.

Indications

Ketanov is indicated for the short-term management of moderate to severe acute pain. It is also used as an analgesic during diagnostic procedures and postoperative periods.

Contraindications

• Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ketorolac trometamine or other NSAIDs.
• Patients with active, or a history of, recurrent peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Patients with severe renal impairment or at risk for renal failure due to volume depletion.
• Patients in the peri-operative period in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery.

Directions

Ketanov is for intramuscular or intravenous administration only. It should not be used for more than 5 days. For the management of pain, the recommended dose is 30 mg, every 6 hours.
