Ingredients

Each Ketodyn suppository contains 400 mg of ketoconazole, an antifungal medication used to treat yeast infections.

Dosage

The usual dosage is one suppository inserted into the vagina once daily. Treatment should continue for the full prescribed length of time, even if symptoms improve before the infection is completely cleared.

Indications

Ketodyn is indicated for the treatment of vaginal yeast infections caused by Candida. It works by stopping the growth of yeast (fungus) that causes the infection.

Contraindications

  • Do not use Ketodyn if you are allergic to ketoconazole or any of the ingredients in this medicine.
  • It is not recommended for use during pregnancy unless necessary and the potential benefits outweigh the risks.

Directions

Use Ketodyn exactly as directed by your doctor. Wash your hands before and after use. Remove the wrapper and moisten the suppository with lukewarm water. Lie on your back with your knees drawn upward and spread apart. Insert the suppository into the vagina as far as it will comfortably go. Close your legs and remain lying down for a few minutes to ensure the suppository stays in place.
