Ketotifen Syrup 50 ml

Ingredients

The active ingredient in this product is Ketotifen. Each 5ml of syrup contains 1mg of Ketotifen Fumarate.

Dosage

Adults and children over 3 years: The recommended dose is 1 mg (5 ml) twice daily.

Children 1 to 3 years: The recommended dose is 0.5 mg (2.5 ml) twice daily.

Indications

Ketotifen Syrup is indicated for the prophylactic treatment and chronic treatment of asthma. It is also used for symptomatic treatment of allergic conditions including rhinitis and conjunctivitis.

Contraindications

Ketotifen Syrup is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients. It is also contraindicated in patients with epilepsy and those suffering from severe renal impairment.

Directions

Shake well before use. The syrup can be taken with or without food. If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as possible. However, if it is near the time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
