Pharmacodynamics
Laktofor Active ingredients
Lactitol exhibits a mild laxative effect. After lactitol enters the large intestine, it is broken down by local flora to form substances that increase osmotic pressure and make the intestinal contents more viscous (due to water retention). Lactitol is a source of energy for bacteria in the large intestine, which breaks down sugars, which leads to an increase in the mass of bacteria and the volume of intestinal contents. Thanks to this, the passage of feces is accelerated and the process of defecation is normalized.
Lactitol has prebiotic properties: it selectively stimulates the growth of beneficial bacteria (Lactobacillus spp., Lactobacillus bifidus, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacteria) and increases the growth of proteolytic bacteria of the genus Enterobacteria and Enterococci, inhibits the adhesion of Escherichia coli (Escherichia coli) to epithelium cells.
Lactitol has an anti-ammonia effect, due to which it is used for hepatic encephalopathy.
Simethicone eliminates flatulence, which occurs with constipation and intestinal dysbiosis. Simethicone reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles in the large intestine, which leads to their rupture and further excretion from the body.
Lactobacillus acidophilus (acidophilus bacillus) – lactobacilli that inhibit the activity of pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms, improving the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.
Intestinal dysbiosis is accompanied by a violation of the synthesis of B vitamins, including folic acid (vitamin B9) and vitamin B12.
folic acid – a vital vitamin, which belongs to group B vitamins. Participated in the biosynthesis of proteins and nucleic acids, erythrocytes and a number of components of nervous tissue. Supports the immune system, contributes to the normal formation and functioning of lymphocytes. It is also a necessary component of a nutrient medium for the reproduction of obligate and some optional bacteria.
Vitamin B12 activates fat, protein and carbohydrate metabolism. Increases tissue regeneration, normalizes the functions of the liver and nervous system, activates the blood coagulation system. Also, vitamin B12 in combination with folic acid took part in the processes of hematopoiesis.
