Description
Levaxela Composition:
active substance: levofloxacin;
1 tablet contains levofloxacin 250 mg or 500 mg as levofloxacin hemihydrate;
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, crospovidone (type A), magnesium stearate
shell: hypromellose, titanium dioxide, macrogol 4000, sunset yellow FCF (E 110), indigo, red iron oxide, yellow iron oxide – only for 500 mg.
Levaxela Indications.
Infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug:
acute bacterial sinusitis;
exacerbation of chronic bronchitis;
community-acquired pneumonia
complicated infections of the skin and soft tissues;
For the treatment of the above infections, Levaxel® should be used only when it is considered inappropriate to use antibacterial agents, which are usually recommended for the initial treatment of these infections.

Levaxela Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to levofloxacin, other fluoroquinolones, or any ingredient in the drug
epilepsy
tendon damage associated with the use of fluoroquinolones;
age;
pregnancy and lactation.
Method of administration and dosage.
The drug should be taken 1 or 2 times a day. The dose depends on the type and severity of the infection. The duration of treatment depends on the course of the disease. It is recommended to continue treatment with the drug for at least 48-72 hours after the normalization of body temperature or the destruction of pathogens confirmed by microbiological tests.
Levaxela Mode of application
Levaxel® tablets should be swallowed whole, without chewing, with a sufficient amount of liquid. To adjust the dose, the tablets can be divided along the line. The tablets can be taken with or between meals. Levaxel® tablets should be taken at least 2:00 before or after taking antacids containing iron, zinc salts, magnesium or aluminum, or didanosine (this only applies to dosage forms of didanosine with aluminum or magnesium containing buffering agents) or sucralfate as indicated drugs can reduce the absorption of levofloxacin (see section “Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction”).
Children.
Levofloxacin is contraindicated in children (under the age of 18), since damage to the articular cartilage is possible.
