Lisobact composition
active substances: 1 pressed lollipop contains lysozyme hydrochloride 20 mg (not less than 720,000 OA FIP), pyridoxine hydrochloride 10 mg;
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, tragacanth, magnesium stearate, sodium saccharin, vanillin.

Dosage form
Lollipops are pressed.

Pharmacological properties
Antiseptic, has a local anti-inflammatory effect, increases the body’s nonspecific resistance. It is intended for the treatment of chronic or acute tonsillitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, stomatitis of various etiologies, gingivitis, and oral erosion. It is also prescribed in the process of rehabilitation after removal (tonsillectomy) or cryodestruction of the tonsils.
The mechanism of action of the drug lysozyme is associated with its property to promote the conversion of insoluble polysaccharides of the membranes of gram-positive bacteria into completely soluble mucopeptides, or peptidoglycans. It is also an antiseptic against viruses, mycoses (fungi), gram-negative bacteria, helps to increase local immunity, has an anti-inflammatory effect. Due to the presence of vitamin B6 in the preparation, it is also a protector of the oral mucosa, prevents the occurrence of candidiasis, and is effective in the treatment of aphthous stomatitis.
In the course of therapy, it should be borne in mind that lysozyme has the ability to enhance the effectiveness of antibiotics, in particular penicillin, chloramphenicol.

Indication
Concomitant local treatment of diseases:

  • oral mucosa, including aphthous stomatitis;
  • throat: acute tonsillitis (angina), chronic tonsillitis, pharyngitis;
  • in the postoperative period (after tonsillectomy, cryodestruction of the tonsils).

Contraindications
Contraindicated in case of intolerance to lysozyme chloride, lactose, galactose, or other substance that is part of it.

Children
Do not use in children under 3 years of age.

Application during pregnancy and lactation
Can be taken during gestation and lactation.

Method of application and dosage
The drug should be used in adults and children over 3 years of age.

  • Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2 lollipops 3-4 times a day.
  • Children aged 3 to 7 years: 1 lollipop no more than 3 times a day.
  • Children from 7 to 12 years: 1 lollipop no more than 4 times a day.

Slowly absorb the lollipops, holding the formed solution in your mouth for some time. The interval between receptions – not less than 1 hour. Duration of treatment – 5 days.

Overdose
A significant excess of the dosage causes a reaction of intoxication with pyridoxine – hypersensitivity reactions, myodystrophy (the phenomenon of progressive muscle atrophy).

Side effects
Skin allergy reactions, such as hives or skin rashes, may occur. In case of manifestation of such reactions, the reception of Lisobact is stopped.

Storage conditions and periods
Store Lisobact no more than 5 years at temperatures up to 30 ° C.
