Indication:
- dermatomycoses caused by dermatophytes (Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton) of different locations: ringworm, trichophytia of smooth skin, trichophytia of the perineum, epidermophytia of the feet, dermatomycoses of the hands, dermatomycoses of the face, staphylococcal folliculitis, derphomycoccal folliculitis, dermatomycosis;
- skin candidiasis (intertriginous dermatitis, angular stomatitis, facial candidiasis, perineal and scrotal candidiasis); balanitis, balanoposthitis, onychosis, paronychia;
- colored herpes zoster (caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare and P. ovale);
- erythrasma;
- mycoses with bacterial superinfection (caused by gram-positive bacteria);
- scalp infections caused by the yeast fungus Pityrosporum, such as seborrheic dermatitis and dandruff.
Description
Lomexin cream composition
active substance: fenticonazole nitrate;
1 g of cream contains fenticonazole nitrate 20 mg;
Excipients: propylene glycol, hydrogenated lanolin, almond oil, polyglycol esters of fatty acids, cetyl alcohol, glycerol monostearate, edetate sodium, purified water.
Dosage form
Cream.
Pharmacological properties
Lomexin is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent.
The drug has high fungistatic and fungicidal activity against dermatophytes (all types of Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton), Candida albicans and other fungal infections of the skin and mucous membranes. The drug inhibits the acid proteinase Candida albicans.
The drug has an antibacterial effect against gram-positive microorganisms.
It is suggested that the mechanism of action of fenticonazole nitrate is to inhibit the oxidation of enzymes by accumulated peroxide and necrosis of fungal cells, which is manifested in direct action on membranes.

Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Children
The drug is not used in children.
Method of application and dosage
Applied topically.
Lomexin, cream, should be applied 1-2 times a day (depending on the severity of the disease), pre-washing and drying the affected area and removing the remnants of damaged tissue (nails, hair, etc., depending on the affected area). The cream is intended for application to smooth skin, skin folds and mucous membranes by light rubbing or lubricating the affected area.
Preferably the cream is used to treat dry fungal infections, such as herpes zoster, erythrasma, onychomycosis. In the treatment of onychomycosis, the cream should be applied with an occlusive dressing.
The cream can be used to treat genital mycoses in men.
In order to avoid re-infection of the patient’s sexual partner, the drug should also be used at the same time.
The doctor determines the duration of treatment depending on the type of lesion and the size of the affected area.
Lomexin, cream, does not leave greasy or colored stains and is easily washed off with water.
Overdose
There were no reports of drug overdose.
Side effects
When used according to the recommendations, Lomexin is practically not absorbed, so systemic adverse reactions are not expected. After use, there may be a moderate temporary burning sensation. Prolonged use of the drug may cause hypersensitivity.

Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ºC. Keep out of reach of children.
