Magne-B6 composition
active substances: magnesium, pyridoxine;
1 tablet contains magnesium lactate dihydrate 470 mg (corresponding to 48 mg Mg2 +, or 1.97 mmol) and pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) 5 mg;
excipients: sucrose, kaolin, acacia, carbomer, talc, magnesium stearate;
shell: acacia, sucrose, titanium dioxide (E 171), talc, carnauba wax.

Coated tablets.

Pharmacological properties
A combination of magnesium and vitamin B6. Magnesium is involved in the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and oxidation-reduction reactions. Also, this element plays an important role in the processes of neuromuscular excitation, myocardial contraction.
Vitamin B6 is involved in the metabolism of amino acids, activates metabolic processes in the heart muscle (in particular, during hypoxia), may have hematopoietic, neurotropic, hepatotropic and cardiotropic properties.

Indications
Magne-B6 is indicated for the prevention of complications associated with a lack of vitamin B6 and / or magnesium.
Magne-B6 is used for hypomagnesemia caused by prolonged alcohol abuse and smoking, prolonged use of contraceptives, laxatives, and some diuretics (diuretics).
Magne-B6 is also used prophylactically for conditions such as sleep disorders, chronic mental / physical fatigue, myalgia (muscle pain), irritability, depression. In addition, this pharmaceutical can be used to prevent myocardial infarction, atherosclerosis.
Magne-B6 is used in the complex therapy of cardiovascular pathologies (for example, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, arterial hypertension), osteoporosis, as well as during convalescence (recovery) after fractures.

Contraindications
Magne-B6 is contraindicated in hypersensitivity to it, hypermagnesemia, severe renal failure, vitamin B6 hypervitaminosis, severe myasthenia gravis, atrioventricular blockade, diarrhea, Parkinson’s disease, severe arterial hypotension.

Children
This pharmaceutical preparation is not applied to children under twelve years of age.

Application during pregnancy and lactation
It is used during these periods solely as directed by the attending physician after a careful assessment of the benefit / risk ratio.

Method of administration and dosage
Prevention: adults and children from 12 years old – 2 tablets once a day or 1-2 tablets 2 times a day.
Treatment: only as directed by a doctor. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor.
The tablet should be swallowed whole and washed down with a glass of water.

Overdose
In case of drug overdose in patients with normal renal function, toxic reactions usually do not develop. In case of an overdose in patients suffering from renal failure, magnesium intoxication may develop.
Overdose symptoms include: vomiting, muscle weakness, arterial hypotension, nausea, depression of the brain, pain in the extremities, respiratory depression, anuria (lack of urine output). Respiratory paralysis, cardiac arrest, coma are possible.
In case of an overdose, the patient is shown rehydration, symptomatic therapy, and forced diuresis. With renal failure, hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis is required.

Side effects
In very rare cases, during the use of the drug, side effects such as abdominal pain, skin rashes, constipation / diarrhea, itching, nausea, urticaria, vomiting occur.

Store Magne-B6 tablets at temperatures below + 25 ° C.
The shelf life of this pharmaceutical product is two years.
