Megazir composition
1 capsule contains active ingredients:
blueberry dry standardized extract (25% anthocyanidins) * in terms of anthocyanidins 44.25 mg, lutein 20% FS in terms of lutein 6 mg, zeaxanthin 20% FS in terms of zeaxanthin 1.2 mg.
excipients: lecithin, yellow wax, sunflower oil;
composition of the shell of the gelatin capsule: gelatin, glycerin, purified water, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), titanium dioxide (E 171), brilliant blue (E 133), black iron oxide (E172), carmoisin (E 122) …
* Extractant ethanol 70%.

Pharmacological properties
The pharmacological effect of the drug is due to the complex action of its active components: lutein, dry bilberry extract and zeaxanthin.
Bilberry extract contains anthocyanides, which have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. In addition, they improve the rheological parameters of blood, reduce thrombus formation, and strengthen the walls of blood vessels.
The carotenoid lutein and zeaxanthin are present in the retina and lens and protect photoreceptor cells from light-induced oxygen radicals.
Lutein and zeaxanthin have antioxidant, screening and absorbing effects.

Indications
The drug is used in the complex therapy of myopia, hypertensive and diabetic retinopathy, disorders of the mechanisms of adaptation of vision to conditions of insufficient visibility, degenerative diseases of the retina, cataracts, age-related macular degeneration of the retina, occlusion of retinal vessels and visual asthenopia.
Megazir can also be used to prevent visual impairment at high visual stress. It is used to eliminate symptoms of visual fatigue, as well as as part of complex rehabilitation therapy in the postoperative period, in the surgical treatment of retinal detachment and photorefractive keratectomy.

Contraindications
It is not prescribed if the patient has previously been established hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Application during pregnancy and lactation
Not used.

Method of administration and dosage
Before using the medicinal product, you should consult your doctor.
Adult patients and children who are over 7 years old take Megazir two to three times a day, one capsule for 30 days. After stabilization of the patient’s condition, the drug is taken in a maintenance dosage, one capsule per day for the next two months.
The duration of treatment can be selected individually by the doctor.

Overdose
When using the drug, cases of overdose are not officially registered. With a single use of a large number of capsules, the patient undergoes gastric lavage and the use of sorbent preparations is prescribed.

Side effects
When taking capsules, patients may experience the development of allergic reactions.
If undesirable symptoms appear, taking the drug should be discontinued and seek help from the attending physician, who will correct the treatment regimen or prescribe a similar drug.

Storage conditions and periods
Protect Megazir in places that are well protected from light and moisture. Duration of storage of funds – 2 years.
After the expiration date, the drug is not used for treatment.
