Scientific Evidence

Memantine has shown efficacy in improving cognitive function and activities of daily living in patients with Alzheimer’s disease. Studies have demonstrated that memantine can help reduce symptoms of dementia by modulating glutamatergic neurotransmission in the brain. Research published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease found that memantine treatment was associated with a slower decline in cognitive function compared to placebo.

Additional Information

Membral (memantine) Coated Tablets have a good safety profile with minimal side effects. Common side effects may include headache, constipation, and dizziness. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and consult your healthcare provider if you experience any adverse reactions.

Memantine works by blocking the action of glutamate, a neurotransmitter involved in learning and memory. By regulating glutamate levels, memantine helps improve communication between nerve cells and prevent damage caused by excess glutamate.

Clinical trials have shown that memantine is well-tolerated and effective in managing symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. A study published in the Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology reported that memantine treatment was associated with significant improvements in cognitive function and global clinical status compared to placebo.
