Description
Miramistin composition
Which includes: 5 mg of miramistin per 1 g of ointment, macrogol 400, propylene glycol, macrogol 6000, sodium edetate, macrogol 1500, poloxamer, purified water.
Release form
The drug is available in a white ointment in a tube, which is stored in a cardboard box. 1 tube contains 30 g, 1 pack – 1 tube.
Pharmacological properties
Miramistin is an antiseptic, disinfectant used in various fields of medicine and is active against bacteria: Escherichiacoli, Streptococcusspp., Bacillusanthracis, Salmonellaspp., Staphylococcusspp., Salmonellaparatyphi, Clostridiumperfringens. The ointment affects only the wounded area, does not touch the internal tissues – this is the advantage of this drug.

Contraindications
The use of the drug can cause allergic reactions. Also, a contraindication is hypersensitivity to the components that make up the composition.
Children
Children are not recommended to use ointment for treatment.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding period
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, it is recommended to consult a doctor for advice in order to start using the drug. Application cases have not been studied.
Mode of application
Miramistin is a topical product. Before applying the ointment, the wound should be treated with hydrogen peroxide, then the ointment should be applied to a bandage, tampon or other dressing material, and applied to the damaged area.
- Treatment of wounds and burns
The dose of the drug depends on the size of the wound: 1 time per day – for purulent wounds and burns in the 1st phase; 1 time in 1-3 days – for burns in the 2nd phase. Continuation of treatment is prescribed by the doctor after consultation. It is possible to use the drug together with antibiotics, but this is only as directed by the doctor. - Treatment of dermatological diseases
The drug is applied in a thin layer on the wounded skin area or on a bandage, tampon or other dressing material 1-2 times a day, the dose depends on the size of the sore spot, but you should not adjust the ointment more often than indicated in the instructions. The drug can be used for 5-6 weeks. To continue treatment, you need to consult a doctor for advice, and only after his instructions can you continue to use the ointment for treatment.
Overdose
Since the drug is a remedy for external use, overdose cases were not observed for the entire period of using the ointment.
Adverse reactions
When using the ointment, only allergic reactions are possible, such as a rash in the place where it was used, itching is also possible (burning, tingling in the place where the ointment was applied). Dermatitis is very rare, but if they appear, it is best to consult a doctor, do not self-medicate!
Storage conditions
Ointment Miramistin does not require special storage conditions: a place where the sun’s rays do not fall, without access to children and the temperature should not exceed +25 ° C.
The shelf life is 24 months.
