Description
Multisorb composition and form of release
Active ingredients: a complex of biopolymers (cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, pectin).
Multisorb is produced in the form of a powder for oral administration.
Pharmacological properties
It is a natural detoxifier, a sorbent – a means that binds toxic substances of various natures in the gastrointestinal tract, products of incomplete metabolism, incorporated radionuclides, pathogens, allergens, with subsequent excretion from the body in a natural way. Absorbs toxic substances that are formed in the gastrointestinal tract, as well as those that have entered the digestive tract from the environment. In addition, the drug prevents the reabsorption of toxic substances released into the lumen of the intestine from the blood or entered with bile, binds and removes rotaviruses, pathogenic bacteria. Eliminates the manifestations of toxicosis, normalizes the indices of urine and blood, improves the function of the intestines, kidneys, liver.

Contraindications
Multisorb is not used:
- with intolerance to the components;
- with acute pancreatitis;
- with calculous cholecystitis;
- with gastrointestinal bleeding.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
The drug is used in pregnant and breastfeeding women only on the recommendation of a doctor.
Method of administration and dosage
Multisorb is used orally during meals.
The standard dose for adults, children over 12 years old is 1 sachet 1-3 times a day.
The standard dose for children 5-12 years old is 1 sachet 1-2 times a day.
The standard dose for children 1-5 years old is half a sachet 1-3 times a day.
While taking the drug, you need to consume at least 1-1.5 l / day of fluid. If the water regime is not observed, constipation may occur.
The standard course dose is 70-140 g.
The duration of treatment depends on the type of disease, the severity of its course, and individual characteristics.
It is necessary to take Multisorb in the intervals between taking other medicines.
Overdose
No cases described. Overdose may increase the side effects described below.
If the dose is significantly exceeded or signs of an overdose are detected, it is recommended to stop taking the drug and seek medical help.
Treatment of an overdose includes discontinuation of the drug, taking a large amount of fluid, symptomatic therapy.
Side effects
In the first days of admission, it is possible to develop constipation, dyspeptic symptoms. In exceptional cases, allergic reactions are possible (including anaphylaxis, allergic dermatitis, skin rashes, itching, urticaria).
Storage conditions and periods
Store out of the reach of a child in original packaging at temperatures up to +25 ° С, relative humidity not higher than 80%.
The shelf life is two years.
It is prohibited to use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
Parents are obliged to ensure the safety of children, excluding the possibility of their access to medicine.
