Scientific Evidence:

Oxymetazoline, the active ingredient in Nazivin Nasal Drops, is a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist that constricts blood vessels in the nasal passages, leading to reduced swelling and congestion. Studies have shown that oxymetazoline provides rapid relief from nasal congestion with a duration of action of up to 12 hours, making it an effective decongestant for both adults and children.

Additional Information:

It is important to follow the recommended dosage and not exceed the stated frequency of use to avoid rebound congestion. Nazivin Nasal Drops should not be used for more than 3 consecutive days. If symptoms persist, consult a healthcare professional. Keep out of reach of children.

Pharmacological effects of Nazivin Nasal Drops include vasoconstriction of the nasal blood vessels, which leads to decreased nasal congestion and improved breathing. The drug acts locally, providing relief without significant systemic absorption, reducing the risk of systemic side effects.

Clinical trials have demonstrated the efficacy of oxymetazoline in relieving nasal congestion in various conditions, highlighting its role as a first-line treatment for nasal congestion. Comparative studies have shown Nazivin Nasal Drops to be equally or more effective than other nasal decongestants, with a rapid onset of action and long-lasting relief.
