Nitrofungyn composition
The main component in the solution is chloronitrophenol 10 mg (in 1 ml).
Additional components: triethylene glycol, ethanol 96% and purified water.

Release form
The drug is produced in the form of a clear solution for external use, with a slight smell of alcohol, from yellow to green-yellow in color.
The drug is packed in vials of 25 ml in a cardboard box along with instructions for use.

Pharmacological properties
Nitrofungyn belongs to the group of antifungal drugs, a topical anti-mycotic agent.
The drug is active against dermatophytes and some other fungi. It leads to a rapid elimination of itching, which is usually accompanied by fungal infections. Also, the effect of the cream is manifested by antimicrobial activity against gram-positive, gram-negative microorganisms and mycobacteria.

Contraindications
The use of the solution is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the components that are part of the drug and in children under 15 years of age.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding period
The solution during pregnancy and lactation can be used only on the recommendation of a doctor after an adequate assessment of the benefits and risks. Any contact of the child with the drug during breastfeeding is not allowed.

Mode of application
Nitrofungyn is intended for external use in adults and children over 15 years of age.
The solution is applied in drops or with a cotton swab to the affected areas, rubbing lightly, repeat this procedure 2-3 times a day. This therapy is continued until the symptoms disappear completely, and 2-3 times a week after treatment for 4-6 weeks, in order to prevent the development of relapses. If skin irritation appears during therapy, it is permissible to dilute the solution with water (in a 1: 1 ratio).

Overdose
Symptoms of intoxication can occur only in case of prolonged use on large areas of the skin.
In case of accidental ingestion of the solution, the following may occur: nausea, increased sweating, vomiting, diarrhea, agitation, loss of consciousness, depression of the central nervous system, failure of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems (which can be fatal). Sometimes possible: acidosis, methemoglobinemia with cyanosis, hemolysis, green urine, myocardial damage, pulmonary edema, renal and hepatic failure.
It is necessary to rinse the stomach with a warm solution that contains vegetable oil, olive oil if possible (to dilute chloronitrophenol and prevent its further absorption) and take activated charcoal. Do not induce vomiting.

Adverse reactions
The use of the drug can cause side effects in the form of allergic reactions. Also sometimes there may appear: increased sensitivity of the skin to ultraviolet light (direct exposure to sunlight) and skin irritation at the site of application of the solution.

Storage conditions
